International Desk attends the Pennsylvania's Government Trade Mission.

On April 12th, representatives of Banco Santander Chile and Sovereign Bank attended a trade mission organized by the Government of Pennsylvania in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America (AmCham). The mission had 12 companies from various business sectors, all of them native of Pennsylvania and who were interested in knowing the advantages of the Chilean market in order to plan future investments.

The event was hosted by the Governor Corbett and members of his cabinet, as well as Ed Morata, Managing Director of Corporate Banking for Sovereign Bank, Jose Angel Torres, Segment Manager International Desk Banco Santander Chile and Andre Bergoeing, Deputy Strategic Planning Banco Santander Chile.

Andre Bergoeing was commissioned to provide a macroeconomic presentation about the current environment in Chile, in addition to remark the commercial power that Santander group has in Latin America as well as its leadership position in the Chilean market. When finished, the instance was given to interact with each of the participants, answer questions and talked deeply about aspects they considered relevant.

This event is belongs to the work plan jointly structured by International Desk offices around the world; and seeks to identify business opportunities in early stage.
